Want to create a PE class where everyone belongs and instruction is intentional to meet the needs of all your students? Come join us and see how we are doing things at Heritage Middle School. We will talk the logistics AND experience/play many of the activities that are used in our classes. You will leave with ideas and motivation to begin the steps to creating a PE class where student mentors/champions and students with disabilities work together to make PE a place where everyone belongs.

Understanding the science and benefits behind using motor labs to bridge the learning gap and address social emotional needs of our students. This session will help practitioners understand the "why" behind the research and explore effective ways to incorporate targeted motor lab activities in the classroom. Participants will leave with the knowlege, understanding and a handful of activities to implement in any setting!

Need help increasing your students’ capacities to create healthy relationships, solve problems, and engage in positive social interactions? Lost your gym space for the day? No problem! Need to pivot to a plan b after lunch? No big deal! We’ve got you covered. Join us for an hour with a little bit of everything! From active, cooperative games with a focus on fitness to the perfect icebreakers to foster new relationships, this session will focus on providing creative, inclusive options across the spectrum of ages, content, skill level, and space.
