Have You Ever...Included a Project in Your Health Class?!
Saturday November 16, 2024 3:30pm - 4:30pm CST
Have you ever wanted to include a project-based activity in your health class? This ready-to-use program is just for you! The project, accessed online, demonstrates the connection between lifestyle choices and their effect on our health. Using case scenarios, student groups research their patients’ health history, symptoms and lifestyle choices that have led to a preventable medical condition (i.e., heart disease, cancer, diabetes, etc.) After researching the diagnosis, the team develops a care plan and set goals to improve their patients’ health. Concurrently, students will set a lifestyle goal, then go through the process of making the behavior change. Included throughout the project are activities and scenarios asking students to practice or apply health skills. Lastly, all the resources, training and support you need to facilitate the project are provided for you – AT NO COST!
