American Red Cross First Aid - CPR - AED Training Workshop

This 2-hour American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training workshop will entail the certification and recertification of Adult, Child, and Infant First Aid Aid/CPR/AED. With the new Missouri law requiring the teaching of CPR to high school students, teaching strategies for how to teach first aid skills will also be included. A certification of completion will be available at the conclusion of the workshop.

Erika’s Lighthouse provides tier-1, teacher-led programs for grades 4-12 that educate students about adolescent depression, encourage conversations to reduce stigma, and teach help-seeking skills while meeting National Health Education Standards. This session will describe how utilizing these programs can have a positive impact on your students and your school’s mental health culture and school climate. Participants will learn how to immediately access and implement these free turn-key programs along with other resources available for staff and families.

Yin Yoga & Nidra Meditation with Sound Bath

A slow-paced yoga practice where restorative poses will be held for longer periods of time. These yin postures will help to balance mental and physical bodies. A Nidra meditation during a sound bath will conclude the practice. During the meditation you can expect to be in a relaxing pose while being guided in mental imagery. Deeping your meditative state during the meditation, ambient sound will be played live (sound bath) through various instruments.
