About me
I am in my 13th year as a physical education teacher at Kearney Middle School in Commerce City, CO. Currently serving on the SHAPE Colorado board as the president-elect. I am also my school’s athletic director and soccer coach. In 2023 I was awarded the CADA (Colorado Athletic Directors Association) Middle School Athletic Director of the Year. Earned my bachelors and masters degrees from Emporia State University, KS. My favorite units to teach are the non-traditional sports/activities (cricket, You.Fo, golf, archery, tchoukball, badminton, Paralympic sports, kin-ball). I enjoy anything that excites and challenges me as an educator because my students see value in trying new things.
